Eric. B Hannum, Attorney at Law

Eric B Hannum, Esq., has been practicing law for over 20 years. He started his legal career at The James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he conducted mediations at the Philadelphia Family Court and graduated in the top 25% of his class.

Following graduation, Mr. Hannum obtained a clerkship with the Honorable Laura M. LeWinn, P.J.F.P. (Retd.), drafting tentative decisions, updating the law library and mediating matters if the case met the county mediation program requirements.

Following his Superior Court Clerkship, Mr. Hannum was employed by a Princeton based law firm as an associate attorney handling nearly 50 open files with a territory that ranged from Cape May County to Sussex County.

After that, he co-founded Lansing & Hannum, PC, with his former partner Judy M. Lansing, Esq. and is currently the owner/principal of The Law Office of Eric B. Hannum, Esq. LLC which is located in Manasquan at the Summit Corporate Center.

Eric is member of the Monmouth-Ocean County Family Law Inns of Court, the Ocean County Family Law Committee and acts as a guest speaker for New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ). Additionally, he is an active member of the Monmouth and Ocean County Bar Associations along with the New Jersey and American Bar Associations. In addition, he is also a New Jersey Supreme Court qualified mediator, a New Jersey State Bar Association trained Parenting Coordinator (PC) a Domestic Violence Economic Mediator (DVEM) and a former New Jersey Privacy Law Committee member. He is additionally a New Jersey Collaborative Family Law Specialist and a published author in “New Jersey Lawyer”, a statewide publication featuring articles written by lawyers for the legal community.

Scholarship

While practicing for nearly two decades Mr. Hannum experienced and saw firsthand the effects of a divorce on the family as a whole and decided to actively assist those affected children directly.

To that end, a monetary award in the amount of $250.00 is given every year to the high school student that Mr. Hannum believes to have demonstrated academic and/or personal accomplishments in the face of particular hurdles that the student encountered due to familial conflict and strife growing up in a single parent or divorced parent household.
